Our Philosophy

It’s Time To Think Differently  About Wealth Management

You are living in a time of tremendous change…

…with change all around, we believe it is time to think differently about wealth management.

Building wealth in today’s constant state of flux requires more than just adjusting risk tolerance or adding more investments.

…it requires a new way of thinking about what it means to build wealth, and a more modern approach to managing wealth is exactly what we set out to do for our clients.

…it requires a new way of thinking about what it means to build wealth and a more modern approach to managing wealth that includes:

Wealth doesn’t magically form out of scarcity. Effective cash flow management is about abundance and a focus on wealth creation.
Wealth doesn’t magically form out of scarcity. Effective cash flow management is about abundance and a focus on wealth creation.
Many investors carry far too much risk for their stated risk tolerance but often have no way of gauging how much risk they are carrying. It’s crucial to know where you fall on the risk spectrum and understanding how to mitigate those risks.
The more public market investments that are acquired (stocks, bonds, mutual funds), the deeper the portfolio vertically grows, but adding more of the same thing to your portfolio doesn’t mitigate the exposure to the risk you’re trying to diversify away from. Horizontal opportunities are outside of the same vertical (real estate, businesses, private equity, life insurance, annuities). Diversifying within each vertical helps form a stable footing.
A deferral is not a savings — it is another way of saying “delaying the inevitable.” Knowing how to help mitigate tax liabilities is an essential aspect to building and keeping wealth. This includes knowing how to title assets, where to save money and which investment vehicles to choose or avoid.
Relying on a single source of income, like your job or a single investment, is a risky proposition. The most financially secure individuals have multiple income streams, to weather economic storms and capitalize on opportunities. Businesses, royalties, passive income investments or other consulting or freelance opportunities are all ways to create more than one stream of income.
As your financial landscape becomes increasingly more complex, you’ll discover a need for creative strategies to help grow and protect your wealth now and into future generations. This is not a DIY process and requires a team of professionals to help structure your estate in a meaningful way.

Horizontal & Vertical Asset

Portfolio Tax Minimization

Our Story

Skrobonja Wealth Management, LLC was founded by Brian Skrobonja, ChFC®, CPWA® in 2022 after thirty years running his business in collaboration with other large firms. Brian realized that to fulfill his vision of serving his clients and growing his business, it was necessary to launch his own firm to be more agile while providing more personalized services and customization.

A Network With

Expansive Capabilities

Skrobonja Financial Group, LLC is based just outside of St Louis, Missouri and dedicated to helping clients like you create the Retirement, Wealth, and/or Legacy you want by creating Cashflow Confidence™.

Founded in 1993, Skrobonja Financial Group, LLC was created by Brian Skrobonja, ChFC®, CPWA® based on his experience dealing with what he perceived as a broken financial industry that too often focused on product sales over holistic planning solutions that truly serve the needs of you and your family.

That’s why we take a comprehensive approach as your family’s Full-Service Financial Concierge, managing your financial needs and financial team to create the cashflow you need to bring your unique goals and vision for the future to life.
